Mojito – with Calstock’s own Andy Lawton on piano, Liam Harvey on bass and Dusty Miller on drums, have been playing their own brand of accessible jazz in venues throughout Devon and Cornwall for almost 15 years. The trio has built up a repertoire ranging from the Great American Songbook to their own distinctive arrangements of more contemporary tunes by artists such as Coldplay, Oasis or Sting. They are delighted to be joined for this evening by a special guest – singer Emma Watson – and the result promises to be an even more eclectic mix – something for everyone.
Emma is a professional jazz vocalist and one of Devon’s top female vocalists, with a soul feel that brings vocal tones reminiscent of Karen Carpenter, Eva Cassidy and Dionne Warwick. She is a studio session singer, published songwriter and lyricist with credentials such as One Direction, Paloma Faith, Freesat and T-Mobile (Peer music). She has played to TV audiences on the BBC and ITV and worked with a number of high-profile artists.
