There is easy rail access from Plymouth, with a well-serviced train station just a 5-minute walk away. There are two pubs in the village, a selection of quirky independent shops, a play park, an art gallery and an artisan gelato parlour. There is no shortage of traditional B&Bs right here in Calstock, as well as campsites, boutique hotels and cosy self-catering cottages in the surrounding villages where your guests can feel at home.

Discover the Old Chapel
Two rooms to allow guests the space to spread out and relax. The Old Chapel accommodates around 100 people. We can offer a fully licenced staffed bar on request and also boast a full-sized professional catering kitchen. We have staff onsite to assist with logistics and setting up, and a professional lighting and sound system (and naturally amazing acoustics!). A wedding coordinator can be on hand to help you craft your perfect day.

We are located on the banks of the River Tamar in the picturesque village of Calstock in South East Cornwall, right on the border of Devon. Calstock retains a certain historic charm with narrow streets, traditional cottages, and an old quay. Intimate Weddings
Whether you dream of a vintage-inspired ceremony or a contemporary celebration, our small wedding venue is a versatile space that can be styled to match your vision. The piece de resistance is our stunning, massive plate glass window with stunning views across the River Tamar to Devon, the Calstock Viaduct, fields, woodlands and Cotehele House beyond. With fantastic acoustics and amazing light that floods into the main auditorium, it’s a beautiful, elegant venue that you can truly make your own.
Our experienced team understands that choosing a small wedding venue in Cornwall means seeking something special and personal. We work closely with each couple to ensure your day reflects your unique story, helping you create lasting memories in one of Cornwall’s most distinctive wedding settings.
Our venue has two main spaces: the Main Auditorium and the Kelly Room. Both are suitable for hire and can accommodate around 100 guests. Our in-house sound and lighting equipment will be available to enhance your day. Our prices depend on the size and type of wedding and will be personalised to you.

Wedding Venue Pricing
Our flexible wedding venue pricing allows you to tailor your day to suit your budget and requirements. If you are unsure of what you require, please do get in touch with our hire manager Erica who will be only too happy to discuss your options with you.
- Ceremony with registrar – From £975 (Registrar to be booked and paid for, separately)
- Ceremony with celebrant – From £775
- Elopements – £500 (6 guests max)
- Add a Reception – From £550
- Add an Evening party – From £300
NB - Receptions and evening party prices include a staffed bar; ceremonies do not, so it will be extra if a bar is required. Please be aware that food is not included in the above prices, but we can recommend local caterers if required. We can offer discounts for small or weekday weddings so please get in touch for your personalised quote.
