As part of a series of environmental presentations at Calstock Arts, the Calstock Parish Council environment committee invite you to meet the leaders of organisations who are locally active in nature restoration.
There is a climate and ecological emergency. The evidence is clear that we must increase the speed with which we are helping nature to recover if we are to prevent ecological breakdown.
Wildlife Groundswell is bringing together highly committed organisations and enthusiastic parishioners with the purpose of bridging the gap between policy and nature recovery action.
The theme of the Wildlife Groundswell gathering is community involvement and volunteering opportunities.
The participants of the gathering have been asked for their vision, actions and engagements.
The target audience are key members of the community and members of organisations who can network and leverage nature recovery activity.
Objectives
The aims of the day are to give participants an overview of environmental issues, an overview of the actors in the field of nature recovery and a vision for how they and the whole community might become more active and do something to contribute.
