24 January: Yvette Andrewartha – The Unexpected Serendipitous Gig !!

Yvette Andrewartha presents The Unexpected Serendipitous Gig, very kindly fund raising for Calstock Arts.

She explains below why she has called this The Unexpected Serendipitous Gig!

‘Because the words ‘unexpected’ and ‘serendipitous’ have come to mind so many times during my on-going journey to becoming a jazz singer. ‘Unexpected’ because singing wasn’t a planned ‘thing’ and ‘serendipitous’ because people and opportunities have arrived at just the right moment to help. So I am going with the flow and enjoying every minute………..

There are so many wonderful songs in the jazz genre and I am looking forward to sharing some of these with you in an evening of jazz standards. I have the wonderful Mojito Jazz Trio to accompany me and I am also joined by the lovely Helen White who will sing and play violin and sax. They are all great musicians who appear regularly in venues around Devon and Cornwall and I am thrilled to be sharing a stage with them.

We are looking forward to the gig and it will be an evening of fun and joy. And all in a good cause as there will be a bucket where all donations will go to the lovely Calstock Arts. It will be a good way to kick off the January blues and enjoy some great tunes.’
