Isla Croll has been quietly rising upwards in the British jazz scene for a
number of years now. Though still young, her soulful voice and visceral
delivery of American Songbook classics have earned her a reputation amongst
peers and critics alike for heartfelt connection and virtuosic performance.
She’s recently featured with the Sam Every Big Band in Pizza Express Soho,
and the Royal Welsh College Of Music And Drama Big Band in the Dora
Stoutzker Hall with Dennis Rollins.
She’ll be performing alongside her critically acclaimed trio, featuring
Nils Kavanagh on Piano (BBC Young Jazz Musician Finalist), Sam Green on
Drums (Tom Ollendorff, Paula Gardiner, Huw Warren…), and Benedict
Stephens, one of the most in demand double bassists in Wales.
With strong influences of Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James,
it’ll be a night of storytelling and Swing. We hope to see you there!
