12 October: Hugh Warwick “Why did the hedgehog cross the road”

Hugh Warwick is an ecologist, one of Britains leading experts on hedgehogs and the spokesperson for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society. Hugh has studied hedgehogs for 30 years and says he has ‘used them mercilessly in my quest to win people over to my view of a kinder relationship with nature”

Hugh is a natural communicator and his talks are massively informative and entertaining, as are his books of which he has written three on hedgehogs, A Prickly Affair, Hedgehog and his latest hedgehog publication The Hedgehog Book. We are privileged that Hugh is making the long trip down from Oxford to speak and answer questions about hedgehogs and the environment.

“Political, passionate, perceptive” Robert Mcfarlane
