Local mindful photographer\, Debbie Geraghty\, was commissioned to capture some images of ‘Tide’. Those exquisite photographs deepened the experience of the sculpture and became moments of artistic reflection in their own right. \nLike the tide\, this story took a further unexpected turn when this collection of new artwork inspired the composition of an original musical piece by local choir leader and songwriter\, Emily Foulkes. She entitled her creation ‘Tide’ in response to honour the original artwork. One of the singers involved in Meadow Voices is Cornish-based artist Red Peters. She\, too\, became moved and her water themed stone sculptures also feature as part of the Tide Project. \nThe Tide musical composition\, and other water themed pieces\, will be debuted by Emily’s singing group\, Meadow Voices\, as part of the Tide project residency. The performance will be accompanied by professional musician\, Giles Woolley\, and features poetry from Lostwithiel-based artist\, Margot Hartley. He played with future AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson\, in a band called Geordie in the 1970s. \nColin Boyd is well known locally as one of the best Bass players around and has a distinctive style all his own. In the past he has famously worked with the Kinks and Lou Reed! \nJeff Horsey played in Exeter based band Junkyard Angels and toured widely\, backing Louisiana Legend Tabby Thomas and playing alongside artists as diverse as Geno Washington\, Peter Green and even Screaming Lord Sutch. Rameau’s music\nelevates these conflicts into a realm of expressive sophistication\,\nmaking this opera a cornerstone of 18th-century French music. \nAlthough overshadowed by Kreisler’s fame as a virtuoso and his\npopular salon pieces\, his string quartet is a substantial and rewarding\nwork.
