What’s On

Saturday 8 June
UK preview screening of Tangent Room (PG) plus Q&A

An exclusive UK preview of Tangent Room, an exciting sci-fi thriller written and directed by award winning Swedish film maker Bjorn Engstrom.

Four scientists arrive at a remote location for a meeting with legendary scientist Wahlstein. But they find themselves trapped and in a recorded message, Wahlstein gives them a series of numbers as their only means of escape. They finally realize that the room is in fact the exact point where two parallel universes collide. They now have to figure out how to prevent a cosmic collapse that would destroy both universes.

The film is set entirely in a single room, but at the same time takes place in an unlimited number of parallel universes.

”Indie gem Tangent Room is a wonderful slice of heady sci-fi which is pleasantly minimalist, gripping, and exquisitely written… brilliant, cerebral sci-fi like Primer, or David Cronenberg’s Scanners….the script is fantastic… exceptionally entertaining with a delightful mix of thrilling elements, comedic moments and intrigue.” www.cupofmoe.com

Followed by Q&A with director and screenwriter Bjorn Engstrom.
